Intrinsically Safe Process Analyzer

PetroMetrix of Migdal HaEmek, Israel, is pleased to announce the development of the Beacon 2000-II NIR process analyzer.

This is a major breakthrough in the on-line analysis of Refinery, Pipeline and Petrochemical process streams.

Petrometrix has simplified its sample probe, creating an intrinsically safe probe that eliminates the need for analyzer shelters or explosion proof housings that on-line analyzers have always required.  The sample probes are 100% optical, use no electricity and contain no moving parts.

The Beacon 2000-II is an affordable, realistic alternative to traditional analyzers such as gas chromatographs or distillation analyzers in many applications. Typical applications include crude distillation, refinery process units, product blending, product pipeline and petrochemical processes.

Multiple properties can be measured in less than ten seconds.Up to 15 sample probes can be multiplexed to one main analyzer, further increasing the cost effectiveness of the system.

The probes require minimal sample conditioning. They connect via standard telecommunications optical fibers, using patented technology, to the main analyzer, located in a general purpose area, such as a control room, up to 3 km (2 miles) away.
