PetroMetriX Ltd. which is dedicated to the development of state-of-the-art systems for NIR process analysis, control and validation, has announced the introduction of the Beacon Lab System.

The new system is a fuel analyzer for determining the octane number, vapor pressure, PIONA, and composition of diesel, kerosene and gasoline in the oil refinery lab.   

The Beacon Lab System reduces the cost of testing and improves the efficiency of refinery labs. It provides accurate , fast (one minute) sample analysis, generates reports and stores the information in a data base for future analysis.

The system is easy to use and does not require any tuning.If a calibration model for new properties is required, a comprehensive user interface program, running under Windows '95, is available.

Existing calibration models can be updated or rebuilt at the PetroMetrix Service Center, and transferred via modem to the on-site Beacon Lab System.The Beacon Lab System is fully-compatible with PetroMetrix Beacon 2000 NIR on-line systems, which have been successfully operating in oil refineries since 1995.
